We have a map of all the Major-League Baseball parks - our goal is to get to all of them. So far we have visited eight. We find this is a terrific way to explore new cities.
"Life is what happens to us while we are making other plans."
- Allen Saunders
When we were married sixteen years ago, we never could have foreseen one day sitting down to write this letter. Surely you did not expect to be reading it. Thinking of this brings the quote above to mind or perhaps the old proverb: We plan. God laughs. So, we do our best to live according to the Lord's plan for us even when it veers from what we anticipated.
We have long hoped and expected to raise a family. Since our wedding, we've put aside money for our children's education. So far that's only been used for a few dog obedience classes (with mixed results). But seriously we are still as excited about the possibility of having a child as we were sixteen years ago. We fought a long battle with infertility which has delayed us in getting here; however, we believe that now is the right time in our lives for adoption.
There is a lot we have to offer a child. We have a large Catholic family here in New Mexico that continues to grow as well as family scattered throughout the U.S. The entire tribe is excited about the prospect of a new addition. We travel often to visit family as well as to experience the history and cultures throughout this great country. A well-rounded education would be a priority for our child. Although we both have a science and technology background we feel the arts are equally important and take in cultural events several times a year.
Finally, we are both kids at heart and having a little one along as we go to the zoo, watch movies in the backyard, or toast s'mores feels like a natural and wonderful fit for us.
We thank you for taking the time to consider us and look forward to the opportunity to meet with you if you so choose. May God bless you and keep you. You will be in our prayers.
