Bringing families together for life Adoption Assistance Agency

Adoption Services
We are a full service agency providing pre-placement studies, birth parent counseling and care, child placements, adoption related "Cuddle Care", post-placement services, and post-finalization counseling.

AAA Adoption Assistance Agency is the "Doing Business As" name under our corporate name, Casa de Socorro, Inc., which means house of help and assistance. We are a tax-exempt, non-profit corporation, licensed by the Children, Youth, and Families Department under the authority of the state of New Mexico. AAA serves as a full-service adoption agency, which provides a full menu of domestic adoption services and limited social services for foreign adoptions.

These services include:
-Providing pre-placement studies
-Birth parent counseling and care
-Child placements
-Adoption related "Cuddle Care" (our name for our licensed foster care program)
-Post-placement services
-Post-finalization counseling
-All the social services needed for independent adoptions, stepparent adoptions, and relative adoptions.
-Professional counseling for individuals and children, as well as marital and family therapy.

We are a Christian-based agency offering compassionate services to clients throughout the state of New Mexico, as well as to a limited number of clients from outside our state. All our staff members are committed Christians, as are the members of our Board of Directors, and our Cuddle Care Families. The term Christian defines who we are, not necessarily all of our clients. We serve clients from a broad variety of backgrounds and experiences. Our mission is to join God in bringing families together for life. This mission is accomplished through the adoption and family support services and counseling services we provide.

Our first agency license was granted April 1997, and we have been in continuous service since that date. We began as a small one-person operation based in a home office. Growth has been slow, but steady over the years. We have been in our present location for seven years. Our single staff position has grown from one licensed professional to five professionals. Three of those are licensed at the Master's degree level. We are also served by three administrative staff members. We work from a team approach, so clients are likely to interact with several staff members.

The agency's operating costs are covered primarily by fees charged for services rendered. Staff salaries are paid from such fees. Our charitable programs are what sets us apart and makes us unique in our state. We raise charitable funds from donations to fund a number of charitable outreaches. Women and children come to us with needs which cannot be met through adoption fees. Some adoptions have complicating factors such as special medical needs or legal expenses that would be prohibitive in cost without help. We are always looking for those with a heart for families and children who will give contributions so that children are cared for in safe and loving environments.
