Counseling and Therapy Services
AAA Adoption Assistance Agency has a very competent staff of experienced, licensed master's level therapists. We are able to provide Individual, Couples, Family, and Adolescent therapy as well as play therapy for children on a limited basis as time and staff availability allow. Areas of expertise include personal development, life skills, relationship issues, developmental issues and strategy development for individuals, couples, families and adolescents. No alcohol or drug abuse counseling is currently available through the agency. Play therapy is available on a limited basis for children between the ages of 4 and 12 by an experienced Licensed Independent Social Worker. Fees for therapy services are offered on a sliding scale based on income.
Options/Pregnancy Counseling
A staff member is always available for pregnancy counseling which is designed to meet the need of the pregnant woman and her support system. This service is offered at no charge and will usually involve an exploration of potential strategies for addressing the emotions and needs related to an unplanned pregnancy. Options for parenting, adoption, temporary care for the child, and the issues related to abortion can be discussed in detail according to the needs of the client. There is never an obligation toward adoption implied or required for this free service.
